  • Old Fire Engine 8

Colorado Fire Battalion Chief. Jeff Peterson is a Longmont, Colorado high school student Jennifer Gracie is a Boulder County

    Paperback
Old Fire Engine 8 is about a fire engine and the Colorado floods of September 2013. Two Colorado non-profit organizations, The Longmont Chapter of the Firefighter Community Compassion Fund in conjunction with Orphan's Bridge, have teamed up in a fundraising campaign. The story is about one of Longmont's fire engines and the flood. The book was written by a Longmont Fire Battalion Chief and was illustrated by a very talented Boulder County high school student. The Firefighters Community Compassion Fund was started by a group of Longmont firefighters. The organization was designed to give firefighters the ability to help beyond the emergency call. The FCCF allows firefighters to go the extra mile to meet someone's needs, after their emergency is over. Orphan's Bridge is an orphan relief effort. They work in children's centers in the Front Range and some international work. Their main goal is education. The belief is that children's lives can be improved through better education. The secondary goal is to improve living conditions for orphaned children. Get more information at http://www.theorphansbridge.org
